Hi there,

My name is Federico Luna. I'm an Argentinian graphic designer, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), with over 6 years of experience in web design, currently working at Refokus Agency.

I'm also a web developer, though it's not my primary skill. Still, my understanding of front-end and how developers think was solid enough to build Lio Toolbox on my own, the plugin that supports this method.

What you'll find in this documentation is the result of years of experimentation trying to bring the often misunderstood concept of "design systems" into the real flow of designing websites.

Design systems are usually either too theoretical to be useful, or so rigid that they slow down real work. This framework is my attempt to fix that:

• Make systems practical instead of intimidating

• Keep them flexible instead of rigid

• Make them useful from day one

• Prove that design systems don't limit your creativity, they empowers it

• Make communication between designers and developers easier

Everything here has been tested in real projects at Refokus and refined over years of working with actual clients, teams, deadlines, and constraints. Nothing is theoretical.
